Hi, I'm currently having the problem outlined below & am hoping
someone on
here could help with the problem.

· DC01 is the production box used by Bloxwich. Clients connect to the
server
via a local ODBC connection to the SQL database and a mapped drive to
the
application exe file.
· DC02 is the backup server containing a copy of the production SQL
database
and a copy of the application files.
· Both servers are DC's in the same domain.
· Both servers are running DNS.

Problem

· Users can connect via ODBC to the SQL database on DC02.
· However they are unable to map to the \\DC02\share where the
application
files reside.
· I can however map to shares from DC02.
· Can ping hostames of other machines and can ping this hostname from
other
machines.
· Cannot run dcpromo to demote this server. See
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q224370
· Unable to install support tools remotely to follow
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839880.

· Two other DCs, DC03 and DC04 are currently offline.

Kind regards

Stevan
