Last week our W2k (mixed) domain server crashed. We have another DC in that
domain but this server doesn't hold the global catalog. I transfered PDC
emulator and infrastructure to the 2nd DC. I had to reinstall Win2000 on the
crashed server, gave it the same name on the same domain. Now I want to move
PDC , RID back to the first server but I get an error while transfering RID
.. In the box operations master is mentioned 'ERROR' and while trying to
transfer RID I get the message 'The requested FSMO operation failed. The
current FSMO holder could not be contacted'
Some users from outside this domain cannot contact this domain anymore.
How can I solve this ?
Thanks
