Server 2003 SP2 rebooting

I've read the other threads on this subject but they don't quite fit the
following:

On June 30 we started using a new POS software on a server that had
been running for well over a year with no problem. This new software
required using terminal services and we have approx 30 users and 50
licenses. On July 1st the server rebooted itself and then proceeded to
so every single day except the days the business was closed. I also
noticed that if I rebooted the server before it did so then it wouldn't
reboot itself til the next day.

The software folks decided there was something amiss with the server so
we bought a brand new server which was installed last Tuesday and has
nothing on it other than the new POS software and networked Kyocera
printers. Sure enough the very next day it rebooted itself.

I'm looking for any kind of suggestion/help please to try to point the
software folks toward investigating because they are of the opinion
their software is not causing this as they have other businesses using
it with no problem.
Am I misguided in thinking it has something to with either their
software, terminals services or a combination thereof?

Thank you

You may want to use Symbol to troubleshoot it. Or this post may help.

Thanks Bob.
I would just say that while reading that link you put up my pc suddenly
had that horrible spyware thing called Antivirus XP 2008 appear on the
screen.

We now have a reason code for our shutdown: 0x805000f

Googling this code results in a number of hits but I've yet to find
anything definitive on exactly what it is, what causes it or how to
remedy it.

Sorry to hear that. If Antivirus XP 2008 removal doesn't help, you may want
to use the backup to restore the system if you have one.
