Server 2003 obtaining multiple multiple IP addresses via DHCP

Hello,

I just took over administration for a client with a small network of 6
computers and server 2003 running a domain controller. Their server
has one network adapter with a static IP address of 192.168.0.21.
However, it is somehow obtaining multiple IP addresses via DHCP from
their firewall / router. It basically just keeps getting new
addresses until the whole DHCP scope is full on the router. I tried
swapping the router, but that didn't seem to help.

Could this be caused by an incorrect configuration of DNS? They're
running IIS as well - no reason, however. Don't see a DHCP service
running. Not sure where else to look.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at RRAS on the server. That behavior is typical of remote
access being configured.

I am surprised that DHCP is enabled on the router if Active Directory is
being used. Doesn't that give the clients the wrong DNS setting? They should
be using the local DNS for AD to work properly.
