Server 2000/Upgrading NIC

I am running Windows 2000 server on a two server LAN. I
have a dual 10/00 nic on each server, but I would like to
upgrade to dual port 1000 nics. I have Intel Pro 1000MT
dual port server adapters. I realize that I cannot change
the name of either server. Ultimately, I would like to
keep the current server names and IP static addresses.

Is there any way to demote or remove each server from the
domain and then add it back with the new nic cards?

Not necessary - it isn't that complicated. You can put in the new NICs and
load the drivers, and set up the network/IP configuration.
Of course, like anything else on a server, do this after hours and only
after you've made a good backup.
