Serious problem with Intel® PRO/Wireless 2100 and Linksys AP...

I own a Toshiba M200 tablet PC. This tablet PC is equiped with an Intel
Pro/Wireless 2100 cards. At works, I have no problem connecting to the
Wireless access point. But at home, I have a Lynksys WAP-11 access point.
I've noticed some serious packet lost and I can confirm that it's not my
WAP-11 because I have another laptop and the wireless card work just fine.

Anybody experienced the same problem?

I had trouble with Linksys router when I switched to the RCA modem. My
Linksys PCMCIA would not work either when connected directly. I switched
over to DLink rather than fiddle, my internet withdrawal symptoms were
getting bad. Those pieces of hardware still work perfectly as a LAN, but
not through the RCA modem.

I suspect that you have a similar incompatibility.

Alway reboot the modem first when troubleshooting the connection. It
will cure many problems with new connections.

Have you checked Toshiba for driver updates? There have been problems
with the early releases of the Intel wireless AIRC.
