message will be send only to vlan which server belongs to.
how can i distribute a message to all computers which are connected to
active directory

Dragos,

Having a computer in all VLANs is not a very good ideea; first is hard to do
that - I don't say it's not possible but it's not easy to do that.
The reason net send is not working between VLANs is because NET SEND is
using broadcast. Using WINS on all your clients probably will solve this
(WINS service is included in all the windows server versions).

Actually its very easy to do and happens all the time. You make the port the
server connects to common to all vlans.

To answer the question you can not do net sends across vlans unless you have
a vlan router and its configured to route between vlans.

Joshua,

Are we talking about "access ports" or "trunk ports" ??
