I need to send a file to my Clarkconnect Linux Internet Gateway. I
need to know what commands I need to use to place the file there.

The only reason for using SSH is I know the server supports it. But if
there is something else i can try please let me know.

Since you are running doze, I'd suggest to simply install
'winscp'* and just use its GUI to drag/drop your files, couldn't
be easier.

Good luck

OK, I have several:

1. Quote context on reply:

Since you might be new to usenet, this is *NOT* a groups.google
forum, even if it looks like this to you, please quote context:

"Google Groups users please read - Howto reply properly"
http://groups.google.com/support/bin...y?answer=14213

2. Open a new thread to the proper ng with your problem and a
description enabling others to help you.

comp.os.linux.setup or comp.os.linux.misc sound reasonable, don't
multi-post to these groups, cross-post if you think it is needed.

If unsure what this is about, check our frequently posted
newreader FAQ in the above mentioned groups:

"A new reader? Welcome to comp.os.linux.misc, read this first if
you're new here (FAQ)"

It should explain in addition what people need to help you, which
boils down to data, data and more data, via copy&paste. What you
did and the error messages you got.

Just telling, the crap doesn't work for me is meaningless. We
can't look into your system and many people including me don't
have much fun spending their time with guesswork.

Good luck

scp is ssh, but with a cp-like interface. Similarly, sftp is ssh with an
ftp-like interface. They are usually installed along with ssh.
