How to send a packet to wake on lan

Hello,
I have everything already to receive the packets to the card so that the
computer will be turned on from a remote work place. What I would like to
know is some steps on how to send the packet to the computer to turn it on.
If it helps I have a netgear FA312 card and am using the magic packet
software.
