I receive the following error when trying to connect from DomainNT to
DomainW2k3 "The semaphore timeout period has expired". However after a few
retries I am able to access the network. DomainW2k3 is on a separate
subnet, the DCs are configured to use the WINS on DomainNT. Domainw2k3 has
an LMHOSTS file configured for DomainNT, switches are CISCO, there is a
firewall in between the networks.

Thanks!!!

You can increase the WINS timeout period via registry hack. Check google.

Matt, thanks for the reply, I have been unsuccessful in finding the reg hack
for XP through Google, would you have a link?

Thanks!
