the folks at comcast told me I had a winsock error and to follow the
directions at MS's site below (document number 318584), which was working
fine, until I could not complete step number 19. Now I'm stuck offline with
that particular machine. Please advise what to do if when stating "have
disk" and directing the computer to look to c:\windows\inf you get a message
saying "the specified location does not contain information about your
hardware."

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b/318584/en-us

Note: I tried to restart following this incomplete procedure and needless to
say, I received a TCIP error.

Thank you for any help you can offer in advance
