I have a windows box setup that tunnels across the net, and I want to
emulate that setup on my debian box. I've found a whole bunch of stuff
that's close, but not quite right.
Here's the scenario:
1) standard browser request to remote, private machine (hod1)
2) vpn-ssl sees what I'm going for, goes across internet to
a remote machine (vpn)
3) I'm challenged for a RSA keyfob / password combo.
4) a tunnel is setup and I'm passed over to the remote machine (hod1)
The help file says that they are using SOCKS on the other end.
Now, I've figured out that this isn't really a VPN. It's just a tunnel.
But, I haven't figured out how to emulate this set of actions on linux. I
am pretty confident that it can be done though.
Any pointers? I asked the admins on the other side,
and they're really nice guys but damn near useless.
Adios.
