My Win ME compuer is having trouble networking with my other XP & XP Pro
computers.
PC Fast 10/100 ethernet card.
I have run the XP networking wizard etc.
If I leave it with these settings I can connect to the internet via
router/broadband OK but none of the other computers are shown in network
places.
If I manually set the IP & Subnet I immediately see the other computers on
the workgroup but now won't connect to the internet, shows usual error page
and do you want to auto detect settings.

It use to work & not done much since the last time it was working. Did
install XP Pro on another computer.

With wizards choice I notice that the subnet is 255.0.0.0 as opposed to the
correct 255.255.255.0.

I have tried lots of things and driving me mad.

Any ideas

Thanks I/A
Greg Reed.
