Hi,

I have another problem on one of mi network's computer.
When I log on on that client as the domain administrator, when I want to see some properties in the ontrol panel (like display propoerties) it shows an error message saying I have no permission to see that device (something like that)
Also on that computer, when I want to open the users config in the control panel it shows another error message sying: (null) not a recognized command (or something like that)
Can anyone tell me how could I fix this problem? How can I, login in as the domain administrator, have full working properties with all devices on that machine?
Have to say the server is win 2000 server and the machines are configured in a domain.

Thanks

Hi and thnks for your interest.

The event viewer gives me the following error:

Event Id: 37
ADAP WMI could not load perfproc.dll

Regarding group policy, I am not using it on my domain right now

Thanks

Logon as the LOCAL administrator and make sure that the "domain admins" group is part of the LOCAL Administrators group.

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

I logged as a LOCAL administrator but couldn't do it neither.

Is there any DOS command line to restore all the original policies?

Thanks

try using the secedit command to apply the security.inf template. this
will restore the security policy of the machine to the default windows
XP security policy.
