Security for Offices and not home

Many companies have devoted themselves for finding more secure
solutions for offices which is were money is to be made. Agreed, is
there any company which is offering wireless security for homes. I
think there should be a company just devoted towards home security.
Now-a-days at stores around one can buy 802.11b access points which
offer 128 bit security are not or cannot be upgraded to WPA security.

What about those people whose access points cannot be upgraded? Are
companies justified towards selling their old hardware (non
upgradeable) to us. And for those who have bought old AP's; how often
are you sniffing to see who is or has sniffed your packets????????

For anyone in a corporation not using either WPA, or a VPN over the WLAN,
they are being negligent if there is data not wanted public sent over the
wires.

You can't detect someone passively sniffing packets, as they don't
transmit.
