Security Key and MN-740 Xbox Adapter

Hello all,

I'm having a problem with my Wireless Adapter and my
Xbox. I have the MN740 Xbox Adapter (Wireless G) and the
Linksys WRT54G Router. They are about 15 feet apart, in
separate rooms. The signal strength is great, I'm
usually at 54mps or 48mps, which is fine. However, I
almost always have to enter in my Security Key to play
online. I have a 2.4Ghz wireless phone, but I've tried
to switch the channel on the router anywhere from 1 to 11
and it still did the same thing time after time. There
is no loss in power, as I run everything through a UPS.
Is anyone else having this issue? Any ideas? I may just
consider a different phone with a different frequency if
this would help??
