i forgot the base password.. book tells me to reset the
base password but don't know how.. help!

Hi,

The default password is "admin" without the quotes.

If you changed the password, then you'll have to reset the base station.
To do this use a paper clip and press the reset button just above the AC
adapter plug on the back of the base station and hold the reset button for
about 5-8 seconds or until at least the orange light starts flashing. Then
let go and wait for the base station to cycle back up.
