Second NIC Card Issues

I have a second NIC card installed on a Server 2003 machine. It's
used for a VPN. This used to work until yesterday. No changes were
made. Now, the second NIC card is interfering with the servers
functions such as file sharing and printing. If I disable the second
NIC, it works fine. I removed the Gateway from the NIC and things
worked again, but for about 10 minutes. It's currently disabled...any
suggestions?

Ok; first of all, on your INTERNAL NIC, make sure you have NOT
specified a gateway.
Secondly, have you installed did your VPN stop working after you
installed some Windows Updates, or have had a reboot?

You need to go to your server properties in RRAS, and make sure the
inbound connection is set to "internal lan" so the requests are
forwarded to the correct NIC.

Let me know how you get on, as i am working with limited information
here, but i'll be glad to help
