I use a Kyocera KM2030 digital copy machine that is connected to my
office network (Linux server - Suse 9.0, Samba, Windows clients) . The
scanner connection to the network is controlled by Kyocera programs
"scanner file utility" on the Windows workstations. This utility is
available only for Windows, according to the Kyocera support.

Currently, I am looking to find a solution to install a scanner
receiver on the Linux server. It simpley should receive the data from
the scanner and should store them as a TIFF file in a server's
directory. Converting the tiff files to .pdf is easy with the Linux
tools.

Does anybody have an idea or even a solution for this?

Thanks

Rudolf
