SBS2003 behind router?

In the last week I have made an attempt to convert our peer to peer network
to SBS2003. After I started messing with ISA and couldn't get it to work, I
basically reverted back to peer to peer. The biggest problem was that I
didn't have an internet connection during the troubleshooting. The other
problem was that the Vonage adapter didn't work on the switch, it worked in
between the modem and NIC1, but then SBS wouldn't work
My setup during this time was: DSL modem, > NIC1 > SBS2003 > NIC2 > switch >
router

My peer to peer setup is: DSL modem, Vonage modem, router and switch

I want to attempt to work on my ISA issues again and was thinking to let the
SBS server connect to the router. Will that work? Since the router is also a
Wireless Access Point, I can let the users connect wirelessly while I play
with the SBS server and ISA.
This is what I hope will work: DSL Modem > Vonage Modem > Router > NIC1 >
SBS to NIC2 to switch

Questions:
Will this work?
What settings do I need to change to make this work?
Will the Vonage modem make this to not work?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Robert

You can't have 2 back-to-back "modems".

You mean the DSL modem and the Vonage modem? Maybe the correct name would
have been Vonage adapter.
It works because the computers on the router and WAP can access the internet.

Do you mean to say that it can't work with the SBS server connected to the
router?

Please clarify.

Modem,...adapter,...same thing. Vonage?...never heard of it. Don't use
brand names, use what the device really is or describe what it does. You
can't depend on use knowing what every brand of everything does.

It is very likely that once I know what it is that it may change my
answer,...but for now, I don't know what it is or what it does.

Vonage makes VOIP adapters.

So, his setup would seem correct.
