Hi Meinolf Weber-
He has 7 PC's, all XP Pro systems, logged in as "Administrator", he uses a
dental software called "DENTRIX" - which is also installed on the server.
After a long period of time, eventually it freezes up, and he (the
customer/doctor) noticed that once he goes to the server and presses: "CRT +
ALT+DEL" (being that the server states it's locked) the server resumes a
normal screen and he can continue to work. He beleives strongly that it's
the screensaver of the server which is preventing him from continuing and the
workstations crash.
I have a feeling that it has something to do with a sleep mode of the LAN
adapters, but I am not certain and am inquiring as to why this is happening?
Can you advise me what might be the problem? And the answer your statement
below: "Why do your users work on the server?" they aren't working on the
server directly... they are logged into the server from a workstation as
Administrator as I stated above.
Thanks
