Saving/restoring network settings on Windows Me

Is there any way to save/export and then restore/import all of my
network settings please?

I have a Windows Me machine that seems to get its network settings
changed by, for example, the installation of other software (Adobe
Acrobat Reader was the latest). I then struggle to get everything
working again afterwards.

Is there some simple method of saving all of the settings so that I
can then restore them later. System Restore does not seem to work, so
there appears to be more than what is saved by that. TIA.

Maybe some registry keys, but not a particular MS utility; or write the
settings down, or screen shots.

Something is wrong, then. I have never seen Windows ME settings changed by
software installation. I have seen users screw them up; done it myself.

I don't know of any. However, for most installations, DNS and WINS
Resolution should be disabled, obtain an IP address automatically enabled.
Generally, you only need the Windows Logon, not the Microsoft Family Logon.
To share resources you will need File and printer sharing for Microsoft
Networks on the computer with the shared resources, and Client for Microsot
Networks on any computer which will access shared resources. If your network
is different, you probably either know more about these things than most
people, or have an IT staff to help you out.
