I have a strange problem.
I have some pc with windows XP and Word XP. I have a file server under
windows 2003 server.
In word, when i save a short document of 10 Ko on windows 2003 server (in a
shared directory), if windows explorer is open, it takes 12 seconds, if
windows explorer is not open, it takes less than 2 seconds !
Someone knows this problem ?
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
I just experienced the same type of problem.
I installed a Win2K3 SBS server. Move all the files from
the original NT4 Server.
Added the PC's (XP PRo's) to the Win2K3 domain.

The problem:
When accessing excel files from a net drive to the Win2K3
domain, it takes a long time to open.

I added IPX and NetBeui as net protocals and this helped
speed up the performance.

Should that be necessary??

I'll let you know if I come up with anything.
