I am using Windows 98 SE as the OS on a small file server. The workstations
attached to this file server are unable to perform a "Save As" directly to
the server but must do the "Save As" to their workstation first and then
perform the "Save As" back to the server. Is there a solution to this
dilemma? I have tried to limit the character length in the file to less than
8 with no help. Also I have tried to map the server as a separate drive but
I get the same results. This occurs with all files including Word, Excel and
etc.
I have set the sharing permissions on the Server to full access with no
passwords.
Thanks for any help or ideas.
