Hello,
A few days ago I purchased a Linksys WRT54GS router. I was told that
there is better firmware for this router than the standard Linksys
firmware. After some searching I found Sveasoft's Satori v4.0 stable
release and I flashed it into the router.
The software works very well and really is an enhancement of the
router. However, lateron, I came across alarming messages telling that
Sveasoft added backdoors and tags into the software and that the
software may even send information to the Sveasoft site, without the
user knowing this. I have found many posts on Internet with conflicting
information. Is it just rumours or is it true, that Sveasoft has added
unwanted hidden 'features' to the software? If this really is true,
then I'll certainly revert to the Linksys software, even if this means
that I have less functionality.
Thanks for your reply,
Wilco
