Hi there NG,
I have a Windows 2003 Server SP2 running as a Terminal-Server, where a
fileserver (SuSE 9.2 Linux box, running a samba server
3.0.20b-3.1-SUSE) is accessed via a network folder. I spent quite much
time during the last few months to find a solution to the following 2
problems, but remained to be unsuccessful with that.
1.) When the Samba-Share is accessed via the Windows Explorer, the
order of the files and folders are not alphabetical, and folders
sometimes are displayed after files. When you have a lot of data
shared, its pretty hard finding the right file, I can tell!

Does
anyone knows a possibility to force Windows to order the share in a
correct manner? In my opinion the solution must be somewhere around
Windows, or am I wrong?
2.) Can Windows somehow be told not to show folders which are not
allowed to be accessed by the current user? I do want the share to be
browseable, but there is no need for me to show users files and folders
the cannot use...
Every hint is appreciated!
Thanx in advance
