Samba chokes on name resolve order

I have a linux machine attached to some Win98
computers. Samba chokes unless name resolve
order is set to bcast. It seems to me that bcast
should be the default. It may not be the most
efficient, but it is the one least likely to choke.
And the most important item is to get the program
running than work on efficiency.
