Hi all! I have a smb server on my mandrake 9.2. When I access it from
another PC running win_me, I can browse my shares perfectly but for few
seconds only (30 sec?) and then the windows browser stalls. If I force the
windows browser to close, I can browse again and stall and so on...

I checked on the samba server side : no error mesage in the logs, samba
server is still running. Any hint to solve this annoying behaviour?

I'd do the following:
- Check for samba rpm updates for your distro and apply them.
- Check for M$ updates and apply them.

If this doesn't help, switch on debugging (smb.conf) and see what
that tells.

a network trace with tcpdump might also be in order here.
