Hi, I'm using Slack9.1 with kernel 2.4.26 which is a little router
connecting to internet using Sagem Fast 800 - eagle-usb ADSL modem. After
upgrading drivers (from 1.0.4 - unstable connection - to 1.9.6) connection
quality seriously grow up (no disconnections, modem synch. problems...) but
new serious issue appeares. After a few hour of continuous connection,
chiefly (in 95% cases) while I'm using eMule for a long time, system totally
crashes - kernel panic. In syslog, messages,debug...everything looks normal,
any strange messages , all the more warnings or errors. "Kernel panic"
screen beggins:
Unable to handle NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000038
(<---this address is the same every crash)
*pde=000000
0ops: 0000
CPU: 0
EIP: 0010 [<c28300d6>] Not tainted (<---this line is allways the same too)
EFLAGS: 00010202
eax......
[...]
Process "......" <---- variable process names
[...]
<0> Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
In, interrupt handler - not syncing. (end)
How to find the reason of this crash using "kernel panic" debug screen? I've
precisely noted all debug info a few times (registries, stack etc.) but dont
know how to interpret it. If it is really difficult to explain how to find a
reason , tell me what info do you need - I'll forward it.
I've tested 2.4.22 kernel before but results was identical.
Any ideas and suggestions are welcome. Thanx for
help. Regards.

Ellmgc.
