Dear all,

Apologies if this is the woing place for this.

I have a lucent wavelan silver PCMCIA card working fin in My Win2K PC.
I am trying to get it working in my Slackware 10 desktop PC using a
PCMCIA to PCI bridge.

Now, my home wireless network is in ad-hoc mode. With just a couple of
PCs and a laptop.

For testing I have no WEP.

The Lucent wavelan card all seems to work OK in the slackware machine.
The drivers load, the ifconfig and iwconfig commands are all accepted,
and the eth0 interface is up, and the link light on the card is on.

All is apparently OK. Except that no network traffic is sent or
received through it.

I notice when I do an "ifconfig eth0" that there are an increasing
number of "Rx Invalid crypt".

In the man pages it says that these are packets which the hardware was
unable to decrypt! But I have WEP turned off for this installation?
eh!

Any ideas what else could be adding to the RX Invalid crypt counts?
