Running a Webserver Behind Wireless Broadband router

I am attempting to run a webserver through the wireless
router. It worked with my regular hardwired Linksys
router. I have persistent port-forwading enabled with
ports 80 TCP and UDP and 20-21 TCP. I have disabled the
firewall and I am still unable to access my site. I am
using the Xtami webserver. Any help would be appreciated.

Are *you* trying to access the web server behind the router (ie from within
your own network).

If you have an MN100 or MN500, you can get the latest firmware update that
will allow for loopback support.
If you have an MN700, there is currently no loopback support (it might be
added in a future firmware upgrade similar to how it was added for
MN100/MN500.

All you need to forward for HTTP is port 80 (TCP).
For FTP, all you need to forward is port 21 (TCP).

I have tried to access from both inside and outside the
router neither works. I have gotten the latest firmware
but how do I enable loopback support or is it
automatically enabled.

Just a warning: many ISPs block port 80, port 21, port
23, and port 25 for residential users (Verizon, and
Earthlink do). Try running your daemons on non-standard
ports and see if that works.

Also make sure you are using the IP address that the router has from the
WAN port not the 192.168.2.* IP address.

Loopback support would automatically be enabled.

To check if the problem comes because port 80 is blocked
by the ISP, try to forward another public port (e.g. 8080
or 8081) to port 80 on your computer. Then use
http://PUB_IP:8080, where PUB_IP is your public IP
