Running servers on NTL cable broadband

I run a couple of low traffic web and email servers on machines at home
(on Bulldog ADSL) and I'm thinking of moving to NTL cable. The T&Cs
say that running servers is OK as long as they don't have a detrimental
impact on the network and that NTL reserve the right to limit access if
they feel the traffic is too great.

Does anyone here run servers and has anyone ever received any
communication from NTL to complain about traffic? It would be nice to
know what constitues unaaceptable use...

Thanks

I did run servers when I was on NTL, never had a problem. There are
still servers being run on NTL and they've not hit any problems. NTL
can/will check to ensure any mail server is secure. If it isn't, expect
to get a slap.

Yup, mail & web, plus the usual clutter of mysql etc.

Nope.

Sure would. I suspect unacceptable use is what ntl define, either
subsequently or at their discretion, as unacceptable.

And note that most of ntl's dynamic IPs are now in the spamhaus etc
Dynamic Block lists, so you will have to pass mail via ntl's so-called
smarthost.

Dynamic IPs in a list of dynamic IPs. News at Ten.
