running router without a firewall

Is there a way to get the MN-700 to act without a router,
kinda more like a relay or a simple link rather than a full
out 'basestation'

I have the router connected to both desktop pcs (ethernet)
and a wireless laptop.

It's called bridge mode -- see the doc.
