Hi,
I am trying to connect to a Linux box, by running rexec on Windows XP
command line like this

rexec <ip address> -l <user name on linux> ls

Password (<ip address>:<user name on linux>):

I enter the password, but then it just sits there....

The Linux version is(uname -a)
Linux <box name> 2.6.9-34.ELsmp #1 SMP

This works fine on a Solaris box.

Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Vicky

Yes, it is.

We figured it out. It was the reverse IP information missing from the
DNS server. I don't know exactly what that means, but that's what I got
from the network admininstrator. Works fine now. Thanks for your reply.
