RTS frame exchange

Infrastructure in use is a Cisco LWAPP 1130 AP's connected to a 4404
controller. 5 BSSID configured. Mixture of Data and Voip clients
deployed across the network.

My question is related to RTS frames. I am seeing traces of where a AP
will send a flood of RTS frames to a client. The AP is part of a
ESSS Should I see a AP send RTS to a client? I would have thought
that an AP would send CTS to a RTS response from a client station.
