I have two diffrent LAN's (LAN1 and LAN2) which are connectec using VPN.
LAN1 have Ataman service (Windows XP Professional) where is automatic logon
(username and password) configured. When client connects to Ataman using RSH
useraccount information Ataman logon is done automatically using that
useraccount which is given in rsh commandline f. ex. rsh.exe
123.123.123.123 -l ataman "remote command".
Ataman workstation is running on LAN1 and rsh authentication is working fine
inside LAN1 from all workstations. When I'm trying to connect Ataman
workstation from LAN2 useraccount information is lost..
In successful connection (from LAN1) Ataman workstation shows logon
information ataman@123.123.123.125 (client IP-address) and when I try to
connect (from LAN2) logon information is /@213.213.213.215 (client
IP-address).
I don't know what is reason that RSH useraccount information is lost when I
connect to Ataman from LAN2. Network connections are OK. I can connect to
Ataman workstation using ping, ftp,.. commands.
I was wondering could it be possible that ISP routers or firewalls are
blocking rsh useraccount information?
If anyone knows is it possible to run rsh over internet/vpn?
