RRAS question

Recently, some of my VPN clients have not been able to connect to some
network resources remotely. After poking around, I noticed that the PPP
adapter on the client shows either no default gateway, or the client's own
DHCP assigned IP address as the default gateway in ipconfig. If I understand
how RRAS assigns addresses, the default gateway is pulled from the RRAS
server's network settings, and this is set correctly on the server. Can
anyone help me out here? This is a recent problem, and as far as I'm aware,
I have not made any changes which would have affected this. This seems to
have affected only a handful of remote clients

Sounds to me like they unchecked the little box in the VPN client settings
that says use default gateway on remote network in the first case. The
clients gateway matching the PPP address is the correct behavior. If the
latter is true and you have problems you may have either an IP conflict or
perhaps a DNS problem if you are trying to connect to a resource by name.
Since the latter case is proper behavior you should try to connect to the
resources by IP and see if the problem still exists. You can use the route
command (route print) to see the routing table on the machine, and the
ipconfig command (ipconfig /displayDNS) to see the DNS entries on the
client.
