RRAS internal network address

I have a Windows2003/Exchange2003 (AD Controller, DNS Server, RAS Server etc)
server running RRAS. The Server has it's own NIC IP address. The RRAS server
has an internal IP address for the RRAS (it seems).

The trouble is, the RRAS IP address registers itself in DNS and then users
have trouble accessing their e-mail and other issues as there are then two
entries for the DNS of the server, one for RRAS and one for the NIC. I need
to control the RRAS IP address to make it a static IP address (not even sure
why it's there) and also to stop it getting onto the DNS at all, as I don't
think it needs to be in there.

I have tried telling the server not to register IP addresses in DNS
(Registry entry), however that has not stopped it happening (I told the
server to do this, not the individual adapters, though it should have worked).

Any assistance much appreciated, as I can't get this to behave and it is
causing havoc with the network.

Here is the ipconfig record for the ppp/slip interface.

PPP adapter RAS Server (Dial In) Interface:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) I
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-53-45-00-00-0
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.12.41.144
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255

That is why Microsoft recommends that you do not run a remote access
server on a DC. Have a look at KB292822 .
