Hi !
I'm under Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, with a PCI DSL modem.
I need to setup NAT, but I don't want to use WinXP's way (basic ICS). I want
to use the Routing and Remote Access to setup NAT.
But it doesn't let me add my modem as a demand-dial interface. In the
interface list, i right-click and choose "add demand-dial". Then, the first
option ("modem, isdn...") is grayed out , although my modem is successfully
reported under the "ports" list, as an ISDN device...
What's the problem ? Is it a modem's driver problem (because I already have
the latest ones) ?
Another problem :
I was investigating why I can't add my demand-dial interface. I've noticed
(and said below) that my modem was listed in the "ports" section, but in the
"Used by" column, it's written "RAS". I think it should be "Routing".
So I right-clicked on "Ports", choosed "Properties". Then I select my modem,
and click [Configure]. I checked "[] Demand-dial routing connections",
unchecked "remote access connections". Then I typed the phone number.
But, when I click [Ok], a message box shows up and tells me that "The number
of available ports must be between -1 and 1"
But the "Maximum Ports" field is disabled, and it's already written "-1" in
it...
What is going on ? Why can't I change the connection type ?
Thanks !
