about rpc shutdown windows xp

i had tried to use rpcclient to remote shutdown windows xp machine.
however .............

you must know that my question is no poweroff after shutdown.

i searching around the internet but no any solution except install app
in client and server

i want to poweroff without install any app in client.

And how, exactly, are you doing this?

Well, you don't need any extra app to do the shutdown (see
shutdown.exe), but you do need some way to _initiate_ the shutdown.

There are also Wired For Management specs available on the net that
discuss these sorts of issues too, IIRC.

PS. Why are you posting a Windows question in a Linux NG?
