RPC failed to contact portmap

Hi,

after upgrading my kernel 2.6.10 to 2.6.18 (compiled and configured
by myself), I get the error message:

"RPC: failed to contact portmap"

produced by the NFS common utilities.

Any ideas which options I forgot to add to my new kernel?
