I have W2K SBS set up as a multihomed machine
NIC 1 has static IP from ISP
NIC 2 has nonroutable IP in the form of 192.168.1.X
RRAS is set up and configured as:
NAT
Router
DHCP Relay - Which I would like to remove and just use the DHCP, which is
also on this server.

I am able to connect to the network via VPN however I am unbale to get the
forwarding peice in place.

I am sure I left out tons of information, if so please let me know what I
need to provide and also how to configure port forwarding. I have attempted
this and I am only able to access the Server; well I could access that a few
weeks ago however lately all I can do is connect to the network.
When connected I am unable to ping the private NIC, however I can ping the
public NIC

Make sure that you have router checked under server properties. Try assigning
ips that are already in your subnet.

I can only think of two things, both in the RRAS Admin MMC:

1. Make sure the Properties of the DHCP Relay Agent uses the IP# of the DHCP
Server. If it is all on the same machine then point it to the Internal IP#
(192.168.1.x)

2. Right-click on the <Servername>(Local) and pick Properties,..Choose the
IP Tab
2a. Enable IP Routing -- <checked>
2b. Allow IP-based remote access..... -- <checked>
2c. Check "Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol"
2d. Enable Broadcast Name Resolution -- <checked>
2e. Adapter,...This should be the LAN adapter (192.168.1.x),...do not
make it any other.

I may be possible that it just won't work right if the DHCP is on the same
box,...but I think it should work.

Thank you! All of you are very helpful and I certainly appreciate the help.

All of the below is configured, except I changed the:

2e. Adapter,...This should be the LAN adapter (192.168.1.x),...do not
> make it any other.

Well, When I run ipconfig /all I noticed something; Here is the output:

PPP adapter RAS Server (Dial In) Interface:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-53-45-00-00-00
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.19
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled

the Subnet mask is different than the private LAN. Can I change this? If so
how?; If not how do I get around this?

Thanks

That is normal in this situation. Leave it be.
Although you may need Netbios Over TCP/IP enabled.
