I have comcast and a netgear router for all my wired PC's
Dynamic IP from Comcast (WAN Port)-> 172.16.1.6 (Lan Port)- Subnet 255.255.0.0 (netgear) Default route provided by ISP.
Connected to one of the ports on the netgear router, I have a Linksys wireless/VOIP router.
(netgear) -> 172.16.50.1 (Linksys WAN port)-> 192.168.1.1 (Linksys LAN Port) Subnet 255.255.255.0 (Linksys) Default route is 172.16.1.6
My server connects to the netgear through a routing switch and provides DHCP to the 172.16.x.x connected lan (192.168.100.1-50 - subnet mask 255.255.0.0)
The Linksys VOIP router provides DHCP to wireless devices 192.168.15.100->125 subnet mask 255.255.255.0
DNS is HOMEOFFICE.local
I can lookup machines with NSLOOKUP using computer.homeoffice.local and it does return the correct IP address.
I cant PING across the subnet. I can't connect to the shared resources in either direction. I can print from the 198 segment to the server on 172 segment.
I can get to the Internet through the 192->172 default route.
I need to communicate between subnets, Any Ideas?
HELP!!
I am stumped and looking for help.
