Can anyone tell me if most adsl modem routers come with stands that
allow you to have them standing upright vertically to safe space. I
noticed some do but others appear to just lie down judging by some
online pictures that i've seen of them?

Thanks in advance.

du.

My D-Link DI-624+ has feet that enables you mount it vertically.

My 3Com wireless router had slots in the bottom for screws - to allow it to
be wall mounted. You can't actually stand it up on a horizontal surface
because it's got all the cables at the back, and all the lights at the
front. It has cooling slots both ends, so you couldn't really stand it on
end either.

My NetGear DM602 (modem with router combined, but no switch/hub) comes
with a rubbery mount to stand it on end.

Netgear DG834G has holes underneath to be flat mounted against a wall. I
actually have mine standing vertically on end beside my TV, happily serving
my Xbox and my wireless laptops in the living room. It's just resting
against the TV and is not fixed in position.

My 834G stands happily on edge in a suitable slot cut in one of those
plastic boxes from the Chinese takeaway

I asked Netgear, but they don't do a "proper" stand for the 834G

Hmm, I have a Netgear DM602 which looks from the website to be identical
in size and shape to the 834G. It came with a stand made of some black
rubber like material in which it is standing quite happily next to the
phone socket. It looks as if it should fit the 834G, ask Netgear again..!
