How is your online gaming service configured for port forwarding? I'm
more familiar with Dlink routers rather than Linksys, but in Dlink
routers there are two ways to do port-forwarding. One way is a simple
static port forwarding, where one port is assigned to one LAN IP
address. The other way is a dynamic method called "Special Application"
which forwards ports to any of the LAN IP addresses, based on activity
from a triggering port. Since that triggering port can be coming from
anywhere within the LAN, it's probable that the router then simply
broadcasts these signals throughout the switch.
I see in my Dlink router that there is already several gaming services
preset in the Special Application section.
