Would someone know if a router bought in the USA would work in England?

Yes, it will work providing it will accept your 50hz 220 volt power
system.

There are power converters... routers are cheep, maybe better off buy one
there...

But I think your question pertains to the WAN port which is an eithernet
port which I believe is an IEEE standard should work.

The only difference should be the power requirements but that
can be overcome.
