Router Simulator

Hi,

I am looking for a cycle accurate router simulator. Does any one know
if there is an open source router simulator? Actually, I want to study
the affects of architecture of routing table on the performance and
bandwidth of a router e.g. if we use TCAMs to implement a routing
table in hardware, how much gain can we get.

I will really appreciate any help.
