Router prob: Google works, but no other sites do

Hi there;

I recently installed and configured an eTec Wireless ADSL Router.
Everything works, except the fact that only Google works! The laptop I
am using to connect to the wireless router shows this problem, as does
the main PC which is connected to the router via USB. Gmail, Google
and all Google sites/pages work, but no other websites do.

I am able to ping sites just fine... :S Help?

Update firmware, check for dodgy firewall rules and bad configuration.
See if you can run a packet sniffer such as Ethereal to figure out
exactly what is happening to the TCP requests for other websites (are
they rejected - if so by what, do they receive no response etc).
If you're not an expert at network diagnostics then you could always take
it back to where you got it from and get a replacement just to rule out
the router being dodgy.
Have you ever actually had a working connection with different hardware?
If not then you might want to borrow a friend's connection equipment to
rule out an upstream fault..

Sounds like what happened to me when I had MTU problems. Google works cus it
is almost text only......
