I have 2 xp's with a Linksys WRT54G Router, with a DSL, the 2 computers are
wired, I have Tivo connected with a wireless, sharing files and printers. (And
I'm just a newbie at this, just alot of reading I bought a Netdisk (network
direct attached storage 160 gig) great for backups on my small network

I can't seem to get it to show up anywhere, I have it installed to one of the
ethernet ports in the router(4 of them), in reading do I need to install a
switch, than uplink the switch to the router and out to the DSL??

Any help would be great, or point to the right direction

The router _is_ a switch, so that shouldn't be the problem. It's not
easy to figure out from the documentation exactly how the Netdisk setup
works, as there's no mention of the actual network setup apart from
"plug it in and run the software". If yours has DIP switches have you
set them correctly? Have you tried running it on USB to see if that
works? Are you sure you entered the right ID in the setup?
