i have a d link wireless security cam, it enables to check
and view it across any connection, but for some reason it
is only working on our network, sayd i need to insert my
router public ip address and then it will allow me to view
it, i dont know where that is, and also i need to set up
my ftp settings, and i have no idea where they are and d
link said to contact microsoft, but i cant find a support
number for them

Hi,

To find out your Router's public IP address also known as your WAN IP
address, log into your base station management tool http://192.168.2.1 and
then at the first screen after the login it'll show your WAN settings with
your WAN Ip address.

To setup your FTP settings, go to your Base Station Management Tool, then go
to Security, then click on
Port Forwarding then click on the Set up persistent port forwarding.
Then type in the following:

Put a checkmark box on the enable checkmark box then
Description: FTP server or (whatever else you want to name it)
Inbound port: 21-21
Type: TCP
Private IP address: the IP address of your internal computer
Private port: 21-21

If your FTP server port is not 21 and something else then substitute the 21
number in the above information.
